Throughout the auction Lisa uses auctioneer techniques to progress the auction and elevate the bid values. In the early stages of the auction the tempo of the delivery will vary with fast paced talking combined with well timed short pauses. This strategy helps to identify all of the bidders.
Being a woman helps Lisa to adopt the role of a careful facilitator, allowing the bidders to compete against each other rather than with the auctioneer. Then the auctioneer calls are used to bring a feeling of urgency, which combined with the competitive pressure, pushes bidding to the maximum
